Prayers

For the last few weeks, Hayes has been saying his own prayers at night before bed.  I will say the words, and then he will repeat after me.  It is the most precious sound ever, and he is so proud of himself when he gets to Amen.  Of course, every other night I tear up at how big he has gotten and how sweet he is.  But, then some nights I walk out of his room dying laughing.  So was the case 2 nights ago.  When we were nearing the end of the God Bless Mommy, Daddy, Kirby, Nana, Papa, Mimi, Poppy, etc. section, Hayes added Mickey, Minnie, and Donald.  Priceless!

First Trip to the Dentist

On Tuesday, I made my very first trip to see the dentist.  There were lots of other kids there so I liked getting to play with them.  I let them brush my teeth and put flouride on them.  I even let the nurse floss them.  The dentist said that my teeth looked great and for Mommy and Daddy to keep up the good work.

I have 11 teeth now...

Valentine's Day

Uncle Trey and Aunt Amanda came to keep me so Mommy and Daddy could go on a date.  Unfortunately, Mommy was sick so they didn't get to go anywhere.  Daddy brought all of us food home so we all got to have fun together.  The next morning, Daddy and I went to church.  Once we got home, it was time for presents.  I opened mine first and then Mommy and Daddy opened theirs.  It was a very good Valentine's Day.

Biggest Snow of my Life!

On Thursday afternoon, they announced that daycare would be closed on Friday because it was going to snow.  Now being from Alabama, they always say it is going to snow but we have learned not to hold our breath.  So, that morning Mommy and I woke up...no snow.  Oh well, at least we get to spend the day together.  Then, about 10 we looked outside again, and it was snowing.  Hooray!  Mom and I went and played in it twice before I had to take a nap.  By the time I woke up, Daddy was home and the ground was covered.  We all got to go outside and play.  It was so much fun.  I loved to run around in it, catch flakes on my tongue, and eat it, but I didn't like laying in it.  After we got finished playing in the snow, we came inside and made homemade doughnuts and hot chocolate.  YUMMY!  Nana always made Mommy and Uncle Trey doughnuts when it snowed when they were little.  I am glad we are keeping that tradition going.

I hope it snows again next year!!

Did I mention that I didn't like laying in it??  Mom did this to me anyway...

Elephants, Tigers and Acrobats...It's the Circus!

Nana and Papa bought Hayes tickets to go to the circus for Christmas.  Nana and I were going to take him, but Papa had to have triple bypass surgery the week before.  So, David got to go with me and Hayes.  Hayes loved the lights and all the action.  We got him a t-shirt, and Nana sent money to "get him anything that he wanted".  Those grandparents are something else!!  Well, what he wanted was a light up thing with an elephant balancing another ligth up ball on his nose.  Hayes plays with it everyday!  He loves it!!

Thanks, Nana and Papa, for sending us to the circus.  It was so much fun!!

Snow Day (1/6/10)

They were calling for snow when Papa, Uncle Trey, and Aunt Amanda were leaving for Pasadena and Daddy was leaving for Dallas, and they closed schools.  That meant that Nana was able to come stay with me and Mommy for several days!  I love having Nana at my house.  I even got to stay home with her during the day since daycare was closed, too.  However, it didn't ever snow very much.  Oh well!

Christmas with Jack and Lucy

The day after Christmas, Mommy, Daddy, and I went to Cleveland to celebrate Christmas with Mimi, Poppy, Aunt Christy, Uncle Stephen, Jack, Lucy, Grandmother, and Auntie.  I had lots of fun playing with my cousins!!
