This past weekend Hayes stayed with Nana and Papa while David and I converted his room from a baby room to a big boy room. David and I panicked all weekend that he wasn't ready to sleep in a big boy bed yet. We even left the footboard to his crib out in case we needed to put it back on real quick. Boy were we wrong! Hayes has done GREAT!!! Sunday night it took him about 35 minutes to go to sleep, and he only got up one time. Last night he was asleep in less than 5 minutes and never got out of the bed. Both mornings he has woken up around 7 and then called for me to come get him about 7:30. He hasn't gotten out of bed either time even though he could. He is such a good boy!! Every big transition that we have been nervous about starting, he has mastered like a champ. Our next kid will probably be a holy terror.
Here are some before and after pictures...

Hayes getting in his big boy bed for the first time...
Hayes would stand up at the end and then fall down on the pillow. He would laugh and say, "Fall Down!"
Thanks, Nana and Papa, for keeping our little monkey all weekend so we could get his big boy room ready! He loves it, and we couldn't have done it without you!!! Love you both!!

I can't believe he is old enough for a "big boy bed"! So glad he did so well with it!
Oh my goodness!! How cute is he?! He is such a big boy just like his room now :)
Bless him!!! SA didn't have trouble with the transition either. I hope Annie does as well!
You are brave. I'm scared... Colton is staying in his crib for the rest of his life!
