Happy 22 Month Birthday, Hayes!

Hayes is 22 months old today. It doesn't even seem possible. The 2nd year has gone by so much ‎faster than the 1st. In just two short months we will be celebrating a 2nd birthday and having a ‎party. Where has it gone?? Hayes is so fun right now. He is also VERY independent. I have ‎no idea where he gets that...ha!‎

Hayes has 12 teeth...eight of which he has used to bite a little girl at school, his mommy, and his ‎nana.‎

Hayes is a complete mocking bird. He can say anything that you can say. He can say more ‎words than you can count and is pretty plain on most everything that he says. He knows the ‎words and motions (if it has motions) to Itsy Bitsy Spider, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, Bah Bah ‎Black Sheep, 3 Blind Mice, If you're Happy and you know it, Hammer Noah (it is his favorite, ‎and he leads it at school), Jesus Loves Me, and Wheels on the Bus. He loves to sing and dance. ‎

‎Hayes can count to 15, but he still doesn't like to say 4, 5, and 6. He likes to skip from 3 to 7. ‎

‎Hayes can say his ABC's. ‎

Hayes loves to run races, jump, and do absolutely anything outside. He loves bubbles, trucks and ‎cars, bulldozers, and garbage trucks. He also loves to play basketball. ‎

Hayes favorite saying right now is, "Comeon Please" while he holds his hand out for you to take. ‎His next favorite thing to say is "Hold You" when he wants to be held. It is precious!! ‎

‎Hayes has a sweet tooth just like his mommy, nana, and AA. He would rather eat sweets than ‎food especially anything chocolate. His very favorite things are M&M's. ‎

‎Hayes loves to read books. His favorites are his Beginner's Bible (Noah and the Ark) and Dimity ‎Duck. He also likes his nursery rhyme board books that include Wheels on the Bus, 5 Little ‎Monkeys, Working on the Railroad, and Humpty Dumpty. ‎

‎Hayes gives the best hugs and kisses in the whole world. I never knew that I could love a little ‎person so much. People tell you that you never know how much you can love someone until you ‎have a child. They are right. But, they should also tell you (even though you wouldn't believe ‎them) that your list of favorite things in the whole world will also be dominated by them, too. ‎There is nothing better in the whole world than hearing Hayes say, "Love you, Mommy!" ‎

You are a blessing and a gift from God. You will never know how much you are loved ‎until you have a little one of your own. We pray every day for you and the person you will ‎become. We hope that you always keep God at the top of your list and everything else will fall ‎into place. We love you more than the world is big.‎
