For those of you that are not familiar with Toyland, I will give you a little background. Toyland is a Christmas production put on by one of the local Junior Colleges every year. Actually, this was the 28th anniversary of Toyland. We have been going for as long as I can remember. It was even one of the "pros" for going to Northwest over Bevill. I always knew that I would be a doll and a toy soldier my first year, and then the Queen of Toyland my second year. Surprising, huh?? Anyway, my family LOVES Toyland. With mom teaching high school kids, we always know at least a forth of the kids in it. We love going and watching them. We just love everything about it.
Nana and I took Hayes last year too when he was only 5 months old. He liked it last year even though he slept through most of it, but this year he L-O-V-E-D it! He clapped. He danced. He pointed to all the characters and waved. Some of the other kids were scared of the clowns and people in full body costumes...not mine! He especially loved the ones all dressed up. Here are just a few pictures from the day.
Nana taught the Queen of Toyland (Paige)
and the Chess Bishop
and Snow White
The ladies love me!
And, I love the Ninja Turtle...
...Mickey Mouse...I gave him big hugs and kisses on his nose...
...and the Dalmatian!
I told you that Hayes loved the fully costumed characters!!
Thanks so much Nana for taking me to Toyland! You are the best Nana a boy could wish for. I love you!!!
